Instructors

Kaspar Kirby (left) - 1st Dan Black Belt
I started martial arts aged 17 and have been training now for over 16 years. I've trained in around 8 different styles, mainly Jiu Jitsu and Thai Kickboxing. I first started Jiu Jitsu in 2003, and have been teaching here in Southampton since 2011. I'm a level 3 sports coach with the BJJAGB and Sport England and fully insured. Jiu Jitsu is my favourite pastime and has added a lot more to my life than fitness and confidence; it's my pleasure to pass it on to others so they can enjoy it too :)

Joolz Blonde (right) - Brown Belt

News

Oct 16 : Halloween House Crawl

The famed Jiu Jitsu halloween house crawl was a great event as ever this year. Everyone participated in the dress up with everything from comic book heroes to clowns to fairy tale vilains to crazy mexicans. More over everyone got involved and had a great time drinking cocktails and talking rubbish.

Oct 16 : Taster Session

We ran our taster session today in the universtiy martial arts room and the turn out was fantastic! We demonstrated a number of techniques and those who attended got to try some. Believe me when I say this was just a drop in the ocean compared to the different techniques you will learn. Hope to see you all at more sessions, so we can really get stuck into it!

Nov 15 : Nationals

Every November the clubs from all around the country meet up for two days of fantastic training. It is a great way for everyone in the style to get to know each other and train with new people. It is of course followed by a few drinks and everyone had a great time.
